Gary Ciurczak
and Briana Popek recently attended end-of-program celebrations for three summer youth programs.
These positive youth development programs included activities to increase participants’ knowledge of important topics, life skills and self-esteem development, and visual and performing arts. Youth also learned about, and positively engaged with, the community via many exciting field trips. At the celebrations, Gary and Briana enjoyed watching slideshows, viewing dream boards, hearing youth and parents speak about their experiences, listening to a youth hip-hop choir, and viewing art. Via Evaluation had the privilege of writing the grant proposals for these programs, which were funded by the 2015 Primetime Grant from the Erie County Youth Bureau.
