Via Evaluation is excited to be the independent evaluator for the HOPE Buffalo initiative to reduce teen pregnancy in nine select Buffalo zip codes (14201, 14204, 14206, 14207, 14208, 14209, 14201, 14213, and 14215). HOPE Buffalo is a collaborative project that brings together a diverse coalition of stakeholders, including youth-serving organizations, health care providers, the faith community, the juvenile justice and foster care systems, and local schools and after-school service providers with the goals of advocating for the prevention of teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS among Buffalo’s youth, promoting equitable access to comprehensive sexuality education and reproductive health, and empowering youth to make informed decisions about their health. The initiative is supported by a 5-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Adolescent Health, awarded to the Erie County Department of Health and CAI (Cicatelli Associates Inc.).
