EVALUATION PROJECT CONSULTANT (MANAGER)

THIS ROLE:

Evaluation Project Consultants help non-profit and educational organizations better understand how their hard work impacts individuals and communities. VIA consultants work directly with clients to create data-based solutions tailored to client needs.  This position requires working collaboratively with the VIA team and a variety of organizations to provide services that truly help organizations collect and use information. If you dream of a world where non-profits and schools make decisions based on good data, this might be a position for you.

Position requirements:

  • holds a Ph.D. or Masters degree (or equivalent experience)
  • has a valid driver’s license and owns a car,
  • able to travel both locally and nationwide for client meetings, conferences, and professional development opportunities at various times of the year.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • experience conducting (or participating in) program evaluation,
  • experience managing client relationships and/or staff,
  • enjoy working collaboratively,
  • can work with data sets in Excel, Power BI, and/or SPSS
  • have experience formatting Microsoft Word and PowerPoint documents

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

THIS ROLE:

The Marketing Communications Specialist works directly with the CEO to design, create, and present consistent messaging for the VIA Evaluation brand. This role is responsible for preparing print, visual, and video materials for communications directed at current/future clients and towards the public. Communications will be used for a variety of purposes, including company promotions, advertisements, social media, and client presentations. The Marketing Communications Specialist will be expected to provide regular reports to VIA leadership on the efficacy of marketing campaigns and use data to recommend strategies for expanding the reach of messaging.

Position requirements:

  • holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sales, or related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience in communications development, planning and implementing marketing campaigns, client outreach, and business development
  • proven success in monitoring and analyzing marketing data
  • experience preparing statistical reports of communications activity and making professional suggestions for marketing operations and strategy
  • proficiency with Salesforce (or equivalent platform) client management, marketing campaigns, email campaigns, data analysis, and reporting

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Research Associates are an integral part of the VIA team. They work, with the guidance of Evaluators, to develop data management systems, clean real-world data, analyze results, and create data visualizations and reports. This position will require extensive tracking of information, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and observations of educational programming in a variety of settings.

Position requirements:

• bachelors’ degree,
• holds a valid driver’s license and owns a car,
• willing to work overtime as needed,
• able to travel for clients, conferences, and professional development.

We are looking for individuals who:

• enjoy working collaboratively with Via Evaluation staff and clients,
• excel at setting up systems to organize and track information,
• can work with a variety of data sets and charts in Excel,
• can edit and complete accurate reports using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint,
• plan and organize work to meet short- and long-term deadlines,
• are eager to develop themselves professionally and seek feedback,
• demonstrate an ability to apply learning quickly across projects,
• share our above stated core values.

It is a plus to have any of the following:

• masters’ degree,
• experience using SPSS, R, or similar statistical programs,
• experience evaluating grants or programs,
• experience conducting and reporting site observations,
• knowledge of K-12 schools, universities, and community based programs.

EVALUATION INTERN

Via Evaluation (VIA) is currently seeking part-time paid Interns to join our team. Posts will be for for six, nine, or one-year positions. We are looking for individuals who want to learn how to apply their developing research skills and interests to help real-life programs improve.

A certified Women-Owned Business located in downtown Buffalo, NY, VIA is dedicated to helping school districts, colleges/universities, and community based organizations develop, improve, and sustain their services. We fulfill this mission by providing our clients with applied evaluation services such as survey design and analysis, comprehensive program evaluation, data systems consulting, and accessible reports.

We expect Interns to be valuable members of the VIA team. They will work and learn, with the guidance of Evaluators and Research Associates, to develop data management systems, clean real-world data, analyze results, and create data visualizations and reports. Our work requires extensive tracking of information, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and observations of educational programming in a variety of settings.

Position requirements:

  • bachelors’ degree

Desired qualifications:

  • in a masters’ degree program,
