The U.S. Department of Justice recently released funding for community-based reentry programs. VIA currently evaluates a local Second Chance Act Comprehensive Community-Based Adult Reentry Program, and our team is available to help you design a plan for collecting required data as you work on your proposal. Description of Grant:

Second Chance Act Community-Based Reentry Programs help individuals during the transition from a jail, prison, or juvenile detention facility to the community by providing them with comprehensive case management services. There is $13.5 million in funding available, and 18 grants ($750,000 each) will be awarded.

Who is Eligible?

Native American tribal governments and nonprofits with a 501(c)(3) status (other than institutions of higher education) are eligible to apply.

  • The plan for collecting data, which MUST be included in the proposal, is worth 15%.
