Description of grant:

The SAMSHA MAT is to be provided in combination with comprehensive OUD psychosocial services, including counseling, behavioral therapies, recovery support services (RSS), and other clinically appropriate services required for individuals to
achieve and maintain abstinence from opioids.

A required activity of the program is the use of one of the FDA-approved medications for the maintenance treatment of opioid use disorder (e.g., methadone, buprenorphine/naloxone products/buprenorphine products including sublingual tablets/film, buccal film, and extended release, long-acting injectable buprenorphine formulations and injectable naltrexone).
