Jessica Weitzel attended the annual New York State Public Health Association (NYSPHA) Conference, “Transforming Communities through Public Health Practice,” on April 18-19th in Troy, NY. Ms. Weitzel attended many sessions, including “Engaging Neighborhood Residents in the Creation of Opportunities for Healthy Living” which focused on Asset-Based Community Development projects in the Rochester area, and “Implementing School Wellness Policies in High-Need Urban Communities,” which presented opportunities and challenges for helping schools implement required school wellness policies.
