ub_blueThe University at Buffalo Graduate School of Education Minority Faculty and Staff Association has announced their biennial conference schedule. The theme for this summer’s conference is “Raising a Village: Expanding the Higher Education Pipeline Through Community Collaboration”.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Pedro A. Noquera, a Professor at New York University and director of the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education. He is editor of “Unfinished Business: Closing the Achievement Gap in Our Nation’s Schools” and author of “The Trouble with Black Boys: And Other Reflections on Race, Equity and the Future of Public Education.”

The conference will be held Friday June 28th, 2013 at the Hilton Garden Inn (Buffalo Airport). All registration forms and important information about the conference can be found at the UB Graduate School of Education website here.
