The U.S. Department of Defense recently released a Request for Proposals for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Military-Connected Local Educational Agencies for Academic and Support Programs (MCASP) Grant. And this year, new applicants who have never received a DoDEA grant award are eligible for 5 extra points.

The main purpose of the grant is to promote K-12 Student Achievement and provide Social-Emotional Support at schools that serve military students. Approximately $30 million, funding about 35 programs, with each award expected to be between $250,000 – $1,500,000, for five years.  The RFP and additional information is available here.

Applications are due by Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
