Now that Amy Puca has found her professional home here at VIA, she decided to help others find their way as a mentor in the SUNY Erie Mentorship Program. Amy worked with Chelsea Simmeth, her mentee, throughout the Spring 2018 semester on a variety of college and career topics, including future plans, life in the workplace, balancing responsibilities, and choosing an appropriate and balanced college course load.

The Spring 2018 Mentorship Program culminated with a brunch at Buffalo Riverworks on May 16, 2018. Amy and Chelsea were both able to attend. Chelsea gave a speech about her positive experience in the mentorship program. Recently, Chelsea was one of six students who received the 2018 SUNY Erie Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. Congratulations, Chelsea!
